Back-to-brick refurbishment in Queen's Park

This Victorian mid terraced family house in Queens Park was given a full scale back-to-brick refurbishment, including a side return extension and loft conversion, to add an additional bedroom en-suite. The client was looking to achieve a contemporary feel to the house, with a Scandi influence, that worked within a Victorian framework. The scheme was designed to ensure a balance of old and new and to create a light & airy interior. A beautiful blue/black contemporary kitchen was fitted and complimented by crittall style doors to the rear and stunning encaustic tiles on the floor. A reclaimed parquet floor was laid throughout the rest of the ground floor, working well with the more Victorian features of the property. Pops of colour in the main bathroom and children’s bedrooms counter the muted tones throughout. By mixing different styles the end result is a beautifully considered refurbishment that has a timeless appeal.
