Project managed by Canham and Hart, this sensitive renovation of a Grade II listed Victorian, 2 bed apartment in the Paddington W2 conservation area, involved a degree of structural reconfiguration, as well as extensive restoration of various period features including original box sash windows, wooden panelling and plaster cornicing.
The client wanted the apartment to feel like a luxury hotel complete with ambient lighting and polished parquet floors. Bespoke joinery throughout ensures clever storage solutions for every detail of modern life, finished in lacquer with a walnut interior. A range of luxury surfaces including marble, quartz and Corian sit alongside bespoke silk upholstered furnishings to create an opulent space that harks back to the glamour of the Art Deco era. Crittal style doors were installed between the kitchen/dining area and the relaxing sitting room, bringing a softly industrial feel to this period setting whilst allowing light to travel through to both spaces.
